I have not made these lighters
I came across a large quantity of them
Each one of these rope lighters have been totally refurbished
and married up with the best rope available
On receipt you will need to char the top end of the rope with a light or match
Once charred pull the rope down, which automatically closes the top door
and extinguishes the rope
Anytime after that, all you do is pull the top door open
rotate the wheel which throws sparks onto your precharred rope
Which allows you to light your fire directly from the lighter or by
transferring to Char Cloth, Birch Bark, Dry Fungus, Cotton Wool etc
These sort of lighters were use in the trenches in World War 1
